Hold the ampoule by the neck of the ampoule or the opener and break it open at the lower white ring with a quick snap. It smells like paraffin, very drying on the skin (even when used in combination with other products) and was ineffective. The ampoules normally work within a week or 2 of using them but I didn't even see results at the end of the month with this one. It is very stingy on the skin as well. I still have blemishes and pimples and now have a dry skin. I would not recommend this for anyone.
